Proofpoint will end the sale of the Beginner package on January 16, 2025. Upgrade to Proofpoint Buiness Essentials
Due to ongoing evolution of the threat landscape, the Proofpoint Essentials Beginner package no longer offers sufficient email protection for the majority of small and mid-size customers. As a result, the Proofpoint Essentials Beginner package will no longer be available for new subscriptions as of January 16, 2025.
Due to these changes, we strongly urge existing customers to upgrade to the Business+ package as it offers the same features alongside URL defense, a powerful setting that will ensure any URLs found in your emails are scanned and validated before being passed on.
URL scams, also known as URL phishing, is a common attack threat actors will use to compromise and access your accounts. URL defense ensures that the link you see on screen is going to send you to the correct page and not a malicious site that is made to look legitimate.

What happens to existing customers who are on the Beginner package?
Customers with existing Beginner package subscriptions will not be impacted. However, we do recommend considering upgrading to Business or Business+ packages at a minimum. Both plans include the same great set of features. More information and comparison of plans can be found here.
