| Active | User has successfully authenticated and has access to Okta resources |
| Deactivated | User account has been deactivated by an administrator and cannot log in |
| Locked Out | User has exceeded the maximum number of failed login attempts and is temporarily locked out |
| Password Expired | User's password has expired and they must change it before accessing Okta resources |
| Provisioning | User account is in the process of being created, modified, or deleted |
| Suspended | User has been suspended by an administrator and cannot log in |
| Recovery | User is in the process of recovering their account after a forgotten password or account lockout |
| Pending | User account has been created but has not yet been activated by the user |
| Staged | User account has been created in Okta but has not yet been fully provisioned |
| Application | User account exists only within an application and is managed by that application |
