The Division of Technology for Kent State University has expanded its partnership with Microsoft in providing more collaboration efforts to the campus. The upgrades included are new versions of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint all from Microsoft Office 365.

Google has just announced that it will be retiring its old version of G Suite Contacts in February of 2019. Starting in January of 2019, G Suite users will be able to use the new upgraded version of Contacts before being moved automatically by the next month. Microsoft has agreed to partner with Walmart in the cloud industry in a move to slow down Amazon Web Services. Walmart's existing technology center in Austin, Texas will be expanded to include a section with 30 engineers working on cloud services and IT modernization.
