Can I reduce my Office 365 users and receive a refund?
No, Microsoft does not allow refunds for the Annual Plan. An annual commitment is a total commitment for the amount purchased. There are no refunds for the amount paid in advance if you remove licenses during the term.
How do we reduce our Annual Office 365 costs?
You can reduce your annual number of users 45 days before your annual renewal date. It is very important and mandatory to send and receive acceptance of such a request. There are no penalties for canceling the Annual Plan; however, there are no refunds during the term of the plan.
What Microsoft Office 365 plans offer self service password (SSPR) reset?
- Microsoft 365 Business Premium — includes SSPR as part of the bundle
- Microsoft Entra ID P1 — standalone identity license, covers SSPR
- Microsoft Entra ID P2 — includes everything in P1 plus advanced identity protection and Privileged Identity Management
If you're already on Business Premium, you're covered — just turn it on. If you're on Business Basic or Business Standard, you'll need to upgrade or add an Entra ID P1 license per user.
What is Microsoft 365 Flexible Plan?
The Microsoft 365 Flexible Plan allows you to reduce the number of users during the month. There are no refunds for any reductions made in the middle of the term or even one day after a user is canceled. The cost reduction will be reflected in the following month's invoice.
